Coplus’ first ever employee set to retire after 28 years

Wednesday 11 September marks the end of an era as our Audio Typing Supervisor Carole Eaves starts her well-earned retirement.

Carole was the first ever employee to join the company when she started at ULR, as Coplus was known back then, in 1991 as an audio typist. At that time the office was located in a house in the Norwich suburbs and Carole worked from a converted bedroom. With just 1 telephone, 2 computers, a photocopier and a fax machine, the office was dramatically different to the space we occupy today in Norfolk Tower!

Carole has seen the business grow and change over the years, and she has played a big part in the development and success of the company. Her long career with Coplus has seen her work in almost every department; as a claims handler dealing with uninsured motor loss claims from start to finish, assisting in the training and development of others, and even working in the legal department when legal proceedings were dealt with in-house.

Carole is well known for her sense of humour and quick wit, providing many laughs during her 28 years, both in the office and at work socials. Many funny and happy memories have been made over the years, and she will be sorely missed.

So to Carole, aka Audio Typing Queen, thank you for your hard work and dedication over the years. We wish you all the best in your retirement!
