We are delighted to announce that we have retained our Gold Investors in People (IIP) Accreditation for a further 2 years.
Investors In People gives us an important benchmark to measure ourselves against. It provides us with the opportunity to step back and observe the business from the outside to ensure we are supporting our people to be able to develop their skills and further their career, whilst also meeting their needs and creating a positive working environment.
As a standard, IIP represents best practice and by ensuring we are doing the right things for our people, we are also ensuring the right outcomes for those we are helping – our broker and insurer partners and their customers.
The assessment involves a review of policies and practices to ensure the right approach is in place, along with surveys, discussion and observations to assert if those approaches are delivered. We were delighted to achieve over 80% in the assessment. It was also very satisfying to receive recognition for the small changes we have made to ensure a consistent approach in people development, which is so important for long term, sustainable engagement.
Praise for monthly one to ones, coaching and development plans also featured in the assessment, and we were delighted to also see recognised this year at The British Claims Awards where we scooped the Training Award for our development programme. This gives our people a clear understanding of how their career can develop within the business and provides support to achieve their goals
We gleaned some invaluable feedback from our people throughout this process. 91% of our people feel that Coplus is a great place to work, with 95% stating they feel encouraged to use their initiative in their role.
